8. August 2023: Ten of us from the Netherlands, U.S. and Germany entered Volkel air base in the Netherlands this morning. Vokel airbase has about 20 U.S. nuclear bombs deployed there which is a violation of the Nuclear Nonproliferation  reaty. We knelt on the runway, prayed for peace and glued down copies of Article 1 and 2 of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons on the runway  (which makes it illegal for the U.S. to have its nuclear weapons in other countries). We were arrested and after many hours we released. #abolishnuclearweapons #nonukes #nuclearban #catholicworker
